About Me:

Hi! I am Marcie Costello. I have experience in working with individuals, small groups and corporate clients in a variety of wellness modalities. My passion is supporting others in achieving a healthy and balanced mind, body and spirit to become the best version of themselves and to live into their lives more fully.

I am a Yogic Lifestyle Coach. I work with clients to educate, empower, motivate, and guide them into a new way of living both on and off the mat. Using an integrative approach to wellness, I support clients in discovering their mind/body/soul connection using a customized plan of yoga, bodywork, nutrition and one-to-one support that encourages optimal health, well-being and success in goal achievement. Together, we break through the limiting beliefs, patterns and negative habits that are the obstacles for success in living a sustainably healthy life.

I am a 500-hr certified & registered Yoga Alliance accredited instructor. I received my 200-hour Teacher Training and 300-hour Advanced Teacher Training from Yandara Yoga Institute in Baja, Mexico. I hold additional certifications in SUP Yoga & Paddle Instruction and Flight Foundations Aerial Yoga. I have had the honor of being the South Whidbey High School Falcons female soccer team yoga trainer. I am a co-owner of Bayview Studio. I work with private clients and teach in a class setting.

My teaching style on the mat is gentle and introspective. I strive to lead classes that embrace the interconnection of body, mind and breath through mindful movement and safe alignment. I have been teaching yoga since 2006.

I am a Licensed Massage Practitioner in the state of Washington,#MA60447220. My mission in my massage practice is to support individuals in achieving life balance through personal wellness. A firm believer in the inseparable connection between body/mind, I am a proponent of massage for relieving physical as well as emotional stress, and strongly believe in massage as a viable modality for enhancing overall health and well-being. I have been practicing massage therapy since 1996.

I am a Certified Reiki Master. I am a Certified Reiki Master, attuned in the healing lineage of Dr. Mikao Usui, the founder of the Usui Reiki System of Natural Healing. I incorporate Reiki into all of my yoga sessions and offer private sessions in my private practice.

I am a Retreat Leader. Retreats are a wonderful way to return to yourself, leaving the outside world behind. They are are a time to to step away from the stresses and drains on your time and energy, and focus on doing less and being more. My retreats will give you the space to quiet the mind and the opportunity to heal and grow through yoga, nutrition, coaching and serenity. Retreats are held both locally and internationally.

I am happy. I live on beautiful Whidbey Island in Washington. I am the mama of three children and two fur-babies. My passions include paddle boarding, yoga, gardening and music. I enjoy spending time in nature, taking walks along the beaches and hiking in the lush Pacific Northwest forests.

I am authentic. Through experiential learning, many years of formal training, working through trauma and overcoming personal challenges; I have learned that authenticity is about presence. It is about living in the moment with conviction and confidence and staying true to yourself. This means accepting, speaking and living your truth. I create a safe and sacred space that supports life-changing transformation in both my work and personal life.

“To be authentic, we must cultivate the courage to be imperfect-and vulnerable. We have to believe that we are fundamentally worthy of love and acceptance, just as we are. I’ve learned that there is no better way to invite more grace, gratitude and joy into our lives than by mindfully practicing authenticity.” -Brene Brown
